17 Oct Within Temptation Are The Latest Artist To Be Featured In Iron Maiden’s ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ Video Game

Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation have joined the ranks of guests in Iron Maiden‘s ever-evolving ‘Legacy Of The Beast‘ mobile video game. A newly-created character dubbed ‘Genesis‘ inspired by Within Temptation‘s works will appear in a new dungeon event dubbed ‘The Purge‘.

According to an official press release, ‘This week-long event will take fans and players on a journey with ‘Different World‘ Eddie and Genesis, who’s now been woven into the ‘Legacy of the Beast‘ lore, as mother of the Different World.’

The “Different World” referred to above is a nod to the 2006 Iron Maiden track of the same name and its resulting music video. This new dungeon event will launch today, September 19th at 05:00pm PDT.

Within Temptation vocalist Sharon den Adel commented about her band’s involvement in the game:

“If I listen to Iron Maiden, I feel like I’m on an adventure and I’m traveling through time. Eddie is my tour guide and with Eddie and Genesis teaming up.. That’s the best thing ever! Aren’t they a cute couple?!”
